Cotton wick

How to trim your wick

Your candle wick should be trim before each lighting, to prevent the flame from getting to high. When the wick is too long it will produce soot around the glass. For best result we recommend trimming the wick at around 1/4 inch.

When burning your candle

Place your candle on a stable heat proof surface away from flammable objects before lighting. Keep your candles away from drafts to keep the flame steady. An unsteady flame causes soot and gives off a smoky scent.

How long to burn your candle

We suggest that you burn your candle between 3 or 4 hours at a time. This will Allow enough time for the wax to melt completely to the edges of the container to prevent "tunneling". When leaving an even finish, your candle will be perfect to be lit the next time!

Candle safety

Keep the candles out the reach of children and pets. The glass container gets hot when the wick is lit and this can be a hazard. Never leave a candle unattended.

How to store your candle

When not in use, use a lid to prevent dust or dirt to collect. Always store your candle in a cool, dark and dry place. Never put a candle in direct sunlight.

Know when to say goodbye

When your candle reaches 1/4 inch from the bottom, it's time to say goodbye! Leaving your candle to burn right out can cause the vessel to become very hot when there is little wax left in it,  it could cause the glass jar to shatter.

Now go on and enjoy your candle!!

Wood wick

How to trim your wick

Gently break off the burnt end of the wick from the previous burn to 1/8 inch before each use. If you don't, the wick may not stay lit long enough to fuel the flame, causing it to extinguish itself. To trim a wooden wick remove all charred wood with your fingers or a wick trimmer.
