* Use an unscented tealight warmer or an UL electric wax warmer specifically designed for melting wax and read the manufacturer's instructions before using.
* Place the wax warmer on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
* Depending of the size of your burner, remove 1 or 2 wax melts from packaging and place the wax melt in the well of your wax melt burner.
* Do Not Add Water. Do Not melt on stove top or on non-approved appliances.
* Avoid burning the wax for more than 4 hours at a time.
* Do not leave unattended or burning out of sight.
* Keep your wax warmer away from drafts or anything flammable.
* Do not put fingers or hands into molten wax when lit as heated wax can burn.
* Keep the wax burner out of reach of pets and children.
* Reuse the melted soy wax until no fragrance is released. Once the smell has faded, remove the wax residue and add 1 or 2 new melted waxes.
How to remove the wax melt
Technically, there's two methods to remove the wax from the warmer.
1- If your wax warmer is not lit and the wax has hardened, we believe it is easiest to remove by turning on again the warmer or relighting the tealight for a minute so that the wax loosens in the dish and is easier to remove as a solid piece. Apply light pressure to the melt or use a butter knife and the melt should come out in a semi-solid form. Then use a paper towel to wipe up any excess. If desired, you can also use rubbing alcohol to clean the surface to remove the smell before putting a new wax melt scent in your wax warmer.
2- If your warmer has been on and your wax is liquid, take a few cotton balls, set them in the warmer tray, let them absorb the wax and discard of the cotton balls. Then take a paper towel and wipe away any excess wax. If desired, you can also use rubbing alcohol to clean the surface to remove the smell before putting a new wax melt scent in your wax warmer.
How to store your wax melts
* Wax melt are light and temperature sensitive, you can prevent your wax melt from cracking and melting by storing them in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight.
* Keep your wax melts dust free! Your wax melts comes in a kraft paper stand up package that are resealable pouch. Make sure the pouch is always close.
How to dispose your wax melt after?
Leftover wax should be placed in the general waste bin once it has cooled down. Hot wax can burn a hole in the bin bag and is a fire risk. Make sure to dispose carefully.
Even though we use soy wax for our wax melt and soy wax is biodegradable. Because we use fragrance oil our product become not compostable.
